Little Roads Unfiltered: Italy and Beyond - Our Podcast

After many readers’ suggestions that we do so, we’ve launched a Little Roads podcast!

We talk about what it’s like to live and work in Italy; and we discuss myriad travel tips, destinations, and slice-of-life stories.

We record straight from our balcony in Soriano nel Cimino. Our chats are “unfiltered”, with the sounds of our little town always in the background (and sometimes in the foreground!). Church bells, cat bells, scooters whizzing, neighbors chatting, tractors rumbling, and occasionally the town siren howling - so you, our listeners, will feel like you’re sitting with us on our terrace…

Our “theme music” is Matt’s own swing arrangement of Puccini’s “O Babbino Caro”, which we recorded in one take right here in our house. (But not before we had to trash several spoiled takes - we finally figured out to remove the cats’ bell collars!)

Our podcast has no commercials or sponsors - we’re keeping it an ad-free zone. (However, we do interject a brief PSA in each episode - “A Good Idea” - accompanied by more of Matt’s arranged music.)
