We have recently begun designing itineraries to small towns and unique locations in Scotland.
Our service is limited – we don’t go to the big towns like Edinburgh or Glasgow – as our readers know, cities are not “our thing”! – or to the islands, as we don’t have the breadth of experience there that we do in Ireland and Italy (yet!).
But if you are interested in small town travel on Scotland’s mainland, we might be able to help you. We have a thoughtfully-curated roster of castles, distilleries and breweries, quirky hotels, an excellent birds of prey experience, gorgeous drives, and excellent gastro pubs.
First of all, the food in Scotland is fantastic – if you know where to look!
Small town Scotland offers a wide range of types of shopping. We love craft shops in particular, especially ceramics; and of course a nice bottle of something is always a good gift to bring back home.
…and the scenery: Maybe the most extraordinary part of this magical land… We can guide you to some un-missable drives, beautiful seaside towns, and small distilleries.
